How to solve the Certificate Error installation problem


Certain new Symbian phones (such as the Nokia E61 S60 v3 phone) display a "Certificate error. Contact the application supplier" message during installation.

To solve this :

  • Go to “Settings” > “App. mgr.” (scroll down to find it)
  • Select “Option” > “Configuration”
  • Change “Software installation” from “Signed only” to “All”

    Next time, when you try to install software you will not see the “Certificate Error” message anymore.
