Instructions for Installing your iPod Translator using a Mac
Step 1: Connect your iPod:
Connect your iPod and start up iTunes
Step 2: Enable Disk Use
In the iTunes main screen, underneath the image of your iPod, there is a section called ‘Options.’ Make sure that the ‘Enable Disk Use’ option is checked.
Step 3: Rename the ‘Notes’ folder
Go to ‘Finder’ and click on your iPod in the finder window to view the folders contained in your iPod, (calendar, contacts and notes).
Double click on the Notes folder and rename it ‘Backup.’ (This is to save any information you may have previously stored in the Notes section and is a perfectly safe procedure.)
Step 4: Replace the ‘Notes’ Folder
If you haven’t already done so unzip the ‘macipodtranslator.zip’ file and open it up. Inside you will find two folders named ‘Notes’ and ‘Sound Files.’
Click on this ‘Notes’ folder and drag it into the iPod window replacing the original folder that you renamed in the previous step.
Step 5: Add the Sound files to iTunes
Now click and drag the Sound Files folder from your download into your iTunes library and update your iPod
Step 6: Finishing off
Eject your iPod and you’re done! You will find the application on your iPod by selecting ‘Extras’ and then ‘Notes.’ Enjoy!
