Cortado Basic Print allows you to print photos and images saved on your BlackBerry on the nearest printer in no time at all. You can also use Cortado Basic Print to easily put your e-mails, appointments, contacts, tasks, and memos on paper at any time. Using Bluetooth, the print job is transmitted from your smartphone directly to a Bluetooth-capable printer. PLEASE NOTE that parallel use of Cortado Basic Print and Cortado Workplace is not possible!*
OVERVIEW
Direct printing with Bluetooth of photos, images, and texts saved locally on the BlackBerry
Offline Solution: no Internet connection required
Adjustable page formatting: portrait or landscape format, margins, lines per page, font size, etc. (only applies to printing of text files)
Supported image formats: JPG, GIF, PNG
Supported text formats: TXT, VCS, VCF (for example, e-mails, appointments, contacts, tasks, memos)
Supported printers for printing images: all Bluetooth-capable photo printers (OBEX) or printer adapters with OBEX support
Supported printers for printing text files: all Bluetooth-capable printers or Bluetooth printer adapters that support direct text printing
Basic Print has no application icon. It adds a print option to the menu of the supported BlackBerry apps.
SUPPORTED DEVICES / REQUIREMENTS
BlackBerry smartphones
Requirements: BlackBerry OS 4.2.1 or higher, for example: BlackBerry Pearl and Pearl Flip, BlackBerry Series 8800, BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Curve and other.
Printing photos & images
Images must be saved locally in the media application
Supported image formats: JPG, GIF, PNG
Printer requires OBEX support (photo printer), for example, HP DeskJet 450 and 460, HP OfficeJet 470
If a Bluetooth adapter is used, it must also support OBEX, for example, MPI printer adapter
Printing text files
Supported text formats: TXT, VCS, VCF; for example, e-mails, appointments, contacts, tasks, notes, memos
All Bluetooth-capable printers that support direct text output are supported as well as HP DeskJet 460 and all Pentax printers
TIP: If a printer does not have an integrated Bluetooth interface, Bluetooth capability may still be achieved via USB or LPT using a Bluetooth printer adapter.
*If you have previously installed Cortado Workplace you will lose all existing functionality after installing Cortado Basic Print. It is not possible to reverse this, so please refrain from using Cortado Basic Print, if you are already using Cortado Workplace
