--- HURRY! SALE ENDS 30TH OCTOBER 2006 ---

Thanks for tuning in to Edd’s Shed, I’m Edd, and this is my shed, the place where every nook and cranny of handheld applications are broken down to what makes them tick.

This week, I am looking into the Leonard Maltin 2007 Movie Guide. Do you like paying to see Rubbish films? Didn't think so. Well now you don't have to. Leonard Maltin (famous American film critic and film historian) has endorsed an application for Pocket PC which will tell you whether you are about to see a Box Office Smash or a Box Office Crash.

Simply search the massive database and you can find out; The rating, If you are too young to see it, whether it is in colour, even whether it is available on DVD so you don't have to drive half an hour to listen to people competing to make the most noise out of a single sweet wrapper.

I am yet to think of a film which is not on the list, so that must be a plus. A cool feature I found was, you can plug it into your PC and it automatically updates. If a DVD is about to be released the calendar function will also let you know, so you can form an orderly queue at your local movie store. The only cons I can see is; that if you live outside the U.S. The dates will all be wrong. But even without the feature I still think it’s a cool product.

Verdict:

Four Sheds outta Five

Pros:
- Easy to use
- Full of films

Cons:
- US Version only

Available now for Palm, Pocket PC and Smartphone
